Jel Woschni was born in Bielefeld and grew up in Dresden.
There they received piano training from the pianist Karin Franz-Prade and gained their first theater experience after graduating from high school at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, where they played and assisted in various productions.
After training as a speech therapist and working as a freelance actor at the tjg. theater junge generation Dresden and the Neues Schauspiel Leipzig, Jel Woschni studied acting at the Akademie für Darstellende Kunst Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, where, in addition to working as an actor in productions, they were also responsible for composition and musical direction, worked as a live musician and developed a musical solo project.
The production "Meine Hölle" by in-house author Oksana Savchenko in the 2023/24 season brings them to the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg for the first time for the position of music. Starting in the 2024/25 season, Jel Woschni will be a permanent member of the ensemble at the Institute for Theatrical Futurology at the Zimmertheater in Tübingen.
