Why does colonialism still play a role today and what does it have to do with Heidelberg? The city tour »Postcolonial traces and continuities in Heidelberg« is part of the Decolonize Heidelberg project. In order to understand that colonial traces still have an impact today and are still visible in the city, we want to get to know the places that were closely interwoven with colonial history. These are often places and stories that we encounter on a day-to-day basis and that barely attract our attention. The aim of the tour is to gain a better understanding of the structural origins of racism so that we can continue to take an active stand against it!
