Two decades of Winter in Schwetzingen: the Baroque festival has been bringing joy to locals and visitors from all over Germany and Europe since 2006.
The centrepiece of the anniversary edition is »Agrippina«, an opera from the Baroque composer Georg Friedrich Händel’s Italian period that propelled him to fame at the age of 24. As usual, the programme further includes high calibre concerts and family events.

Access to Schloss Schwetzingen
Public transport
From Heidelberg Bismarckplatz, take tram line 22 to the Kirchheimer Straße stop; from there, take bus 713 to Schwetzingen Schloss.
Alternatively, take bus 717 from Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof to Schwetzingen Schlossplatz.
By car
From Frankfurt or Stuttgart via the A6/A67; from Karlsruhe or Heidelberg via the A5.
Car parks are located in the immediate vicinity of Schloss Schwetzingen. The walk takes about 15 minutes.
Shuttle Service
The theatre shuttle to Schwetzingen departs from Heidelberg Central Station, Willy-Brandt-Platz, one hour before the start of each performance. The shuttle bus returns twenty minutes after the end of the performance.
You can only use the shuttle if you have booked in advance at the theatre box office. Places are limited, so please book early.
