For every 10 children/pupils, one accompanying adult receives a free ticket.

Reductions

Theatre is for everyone

That’s why we offer a wide range of concessions, season tickets and special offers – for families, students, young people and anyone who comes regularly or would like to discover the theatre for the first time.

50% discount

Upon presentation of valid proof, the following are entitled to a 50% discount: children, young people, apprentices, students, people with severe disabilities (GdB 50 or above), federal volunteers, FSJ participants and holders of the Heidelberg Pass.
Exceptions:

  • €5 discount per ticket for the Schlossfestspiele Heidelberg
  • ​Special arrangements for »Dot and Anton«

15% for subscribers

In addition to their subscription vouchers, subscribers receive a 15% discount on further tickets.

People with severe disabilities

People with severe disabilities (GdB 50 or above) receive a 50% discount. If their ID card is marked with a »B«, their accompanying person receives a free ticket. To book, please contact the theatre box office:

Theatre pass for Heidelberg-Pass holders

With the Heidelberg-Pass, you can attend a performance or concert free of charge up to four times a month (subject to availability). To do so, collect a theatre pass from the box office, which you must present at the box office on the night of the performance. For groups of children and school pupils, this arrangement applies even when booking in advance. Exceptions are premieres, guest performances, special events and the Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele.

Free admission for refugees

Refugees can attend events organised by the Heidelberg Theatre & Orchestra free of charge. Tickets are available from the box office, subject to availability, upon presentation of appropriate proof of status.

Families at the Young Theatre

For performances for young audiences at the Zwinger, Stage 2, there are attractive combined tickets for families. You can find the prices in the price table further up on this page.

We offer attractive discounts for groups:

  • 10 or more people: 15%
  • 30 or more people: 25%

Winter in Schwetzingen & Schlossfestspiele Heidelberg:

  • 10 people or more: 5%
  • 20 people or more: 10%
  • 40 people or more: 20%

  • 6 vouchers for one season
  • can be redeemed flexibly (including in advance)
  • transferable to others eligible for concessions

  • Excludes Seat Category I, first nights, special events and the Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele

50% discount

Young people and students receive a 50% discount on the standard ticket price upon presentation of valid proof of eligibility.
Exception: At the Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele, a discount of 5 euros per ticket applies.

Youth Culture Pass

Offered by the City of Heidelberg to young people aged 14 to 20 who live in Heidelberg or attend school there – available from the Citizens’ Offices.

School pupils not resident in Heidelberg require a pupil ID card or a certificate from their school.

Theatre flatrate

With the theatre flat rate, students from universities and colleges in Heidelberg receive a free ticket from 5 days before the performance.

Youth Season Ticket

Are you theatre enthusiasts who want to go to the theatre as a group? Then the Youth Season Ticket is just right for you. As a group, you put together your own cross-genre theatre programme for a season.

The best bit:

  • just 8 euros per person per performance
  • the organiser receives one free ticket for every performance booked

Requirements:

  • there must be at least 10 of you
  • you must see at least 5 plays
  • you must register by the start of October

The City of Heidelberg supports Theater & Orchester Heidelberg with a grant covering 66.5 per cent of its costs. This includes discounted tickets for over 60,000 school pupils, students and families living in difficult socio-economic circumstances, with the aim of providing all citizens of Heidelberg with easy access to Theater & Orchester Heidelberg.
