This open, international community brings people together to enjoy drama, opera, concerts, theatre for young audiences and dance – relaxed and without prior experience. Meet like-minded people and make new connections.
Participation is free – you only need a ticket for the performance.

Who is the project designed for?
The Theatre•Lovers community was created for those who have difficulty finding friends to enjoy the theatre with and for those who have just arrived in town and want to make new friends.
How can I join the community?
To join the Theatre•Lovers, all you have to do is contacting us via lovers [at] theater.heidelberg.de. We will then get in touch with you as soon as possible.
We will find like-minded individuals for you and send you a reservation proposal - conveniently via email.
When are the next events taking place?
The upcoming dates and meetings can be found in the online programme.
Where is the meeting point in the theatre?
We usually meet in the foyer of the Marguerre-Saal, in a special area set up just for you. We will briefly join you to say hello.
In exceptional cases or if the performance is not taking place in the Marguerre-Saal, details will be communicated in advance by email.
Do the Theatre•Lovers all sit together in the hall?
Yes, the Theatre•Lovers area is in category 4 and all seats are next to each other.
I don't speak German well, can I still participate?
Of course! Our community is international and we enjoy speaking English and many other languages!
Do I have to be a theatre, music or dance expert to participate?
Absolutely not. Our focus remains on spending a nice evening together.
I want to stay in touch with the other Theatre•Lovers. What options are there?
The Theatre•Lovers community has a digital space for exchange. If you would like to be part of it, just write an email to lovers [at] theater.heidelberg.de and we´ll give you the details.
How much does it cost to join the Theatre•Lovers community?
It's free! To attend the meetings, all you need is a valid theatre ticket.
The price of the ticket varies depending on the genre: opera and musical theatre: from 22 euros; drama and dance: from 18 euros; concerts: 19 euros (plus a booking fee of up to 2.50 euros).
How do I get my ticket for the performance?
It's easy! Write an email to lovers [at] theater.heidelberg.de.
I have already bought a ticket for a performance included in the Theatre•Lovers series on my own. Can I still attend the meeting and get to know the community?
Of course! Please register by emailing lovers [at] theater.heidelberg.de and let us know. You probably won't sit next to the other Theatre•Lovers, but that doesn't mean you can't join in.
I reserved a ticket and then forgot to pay for it. What happens?
If your ticket has not been paid for by 6:00 p.m. the day before the performance, we will automatically cancel your booking.
What happens if I can't come to a Theatre•Lovers event for which I have already bought a ticket?
You can cancel your ticket up to 48 hours before the performance begins (cancellation fee of 2.50 Euro). After that, cancellation is unfortunately no longer possible. Perhaps you know someone who would like to attend the performance and come in your place?
