Children’s and youth choirs

Theater und Orchester Heidelberg has a children's choir (from reading age) and a youth choir (from approx. 13 years of age). The children's choir rehearses weekly on Wednesdays between 3:45 and 4:30 p.m., followed by the youth choir between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. in the theatre's choir hall.

The programme includes voice training and rehearsals of children's and youth choir literature with a special focus on musical theatre. The children's and youth choir also sings regularly in musical theatre and drama productions in the evening programme.

Interested children and young people are very welcome! In addition to a love of singing and acting, good musical aptitude and the ability to read music are prerequisites for admission. The choirs are led by choir director Florian Daniel and his deputy Barbara Link.
