Carlo Siegfried

Carlo Siegfried was born in Erlangen. After training as a carpenter, he studied exhibition design and scenography at Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung in Karlsruhe and at ERG in Brussels until 2018. His work for various institutions - such as exhibition venues and theatres - each with their own spatial logics, influences and informs each other in his practice. His stage designs include »Die Kränkungen der Menschheit« (directed by Anta Helena Recke, Kammerspiele München, invited to Theatertreffen 2020), »Karneval« (directed by Joana Tischkau, Theater Oberhausen, invited to Radikal Jung 2022) and »Last Night a DJ Took My Life« (directed by Joana Tischkau, Schauspielhaus Zürich, 2024). As an exhibition designer, he has created spaces for Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt am Main, Museum am Rothenbaum Hamburg and Bauhaus Museum in Dessau, among others. In 2024/25, Carlo Siegfried will design the stage for »Tod eines Handlungsreisenden« at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg, directed by Ronny Jakubaschk.
