Cecilia Ponteprimo

Cecilia Ponteprimo is a freelance dancer, choreographer, dance and yoga teacher who has been living in Heidelberg since 2018. Born in Italy, she began dancing in Turin at the age of four and graduated from the Amsterdam University of the Arts in 2017. After an internship and subsequent work as a member of the Dutch company DE STILTE, she moved to Germany. As a freelancer in Germany, Cecilia Ponteprimo has worked with a variety of choreographers and artists, including Edan Gorliki, Maura Morales, Paolo Fossa, Lorenzo Ponteprimo, Julie Pecard and Didier Theron (FR), and has also been a guest in several productions by the Heidelberg Theatre and Orchestra. In addition to her artistic work, she is passionate about teaching and mentoring dancers of all ages and experience levels (Ballettwerkstatt Heidelberg; Junior Dance Company, EinTanzHaus Mannheim). Cecilia Ponteprimo is actively involved in the independent dance scene, developing her own works, organising events and serving as a founding member and board member of FLUX e. V. – an association that promotes visibility, fair working conditions and employment opportunities for freelance dance professionals in the Rhine-Neckar region and beyond.
