The young Ukrainian baritone / bass Daniel Semsichko was born in the western Ukrainian city of Uzhhorod, where he began his music studies at Music School No. 1 under the direction of Maria Mudranynets. In 2018, he entered the music school named after Desideriy Zador, where he studied opera singing in Nadiia Pidgorodska's class. During his four-year studies, he gained a wide range of concert experience and also took part in national and international competitions. He has been studying at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz (HfMM) in Andreas Karasiak's singing class since 2022. As part of his studies, he has already taken part in many projects with a wide variety of ensembles. The focus of his studies is currently on baroque music. His participation in the Baroque Vocal Academy under the direction of Elisabeth Scholl in 2023 was an important step towards acquiring special skills and knowledge in the field of baroque music. In the same year, he was also awarded one of the coveted ZIRP scholarships (Zukunftsinitiative Rheinland-Pfalz). He has been a member of the Junges Ensemble at the Staatstheater Mainz since the beginning of 2024.
