The Augsburg-born Helena Sturm received her stage dance diploma in 2015 from the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich. In the spring of 2022, she also successfully completed her part-time studies in Theatre, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna.
She looks back on numerous engagements as a dancer and stage performer in various styles (opera/operetta/musical/revue), as a stuntwoman, as well as a Dancecaptain and choreographic assistant. Dramaturgical, organizational, and choreographic work for various stage and video projects were just as much a part of her activities as international competitions and the promotion of young dance talent. Since the 2023/24 season, she has been engaged as a ballet dramaturge for Ballet Dortmund as well as the NRW Junior Ballet at Theater Dortmund.
In addition to ongoing collaboration with Theater Dortmund and Staatstheater Augsburg, where she was involved in many productions, further engagements as a dancer, Dancecaptain, or dramaturge have taken her to the Bregenz Festival (»Carmen«), the Theater an der Wien (»Die Jungfrau vpon Orleans«), the Opera Cologne (»Im weißen Rössl«), the Hessian State Theatre Wiesbaden (»Gräfin Mariza«), and the Landestheater Linz, where she was responsible as a choreographic assistant and Dancecaptain for the dance quality in »The Count of Luxembourg«.
