Niklas Roling

Niklas Roling comes from Nordhorn in Lower Saxony and first appeared on stage at the Freilichtspiele Bad Bentheim at the age of nine. He was involved there for 10 years in a total of 17 musical and theater productions, which were produced as open-air or winter touring productions. From 2019 to 2023, Niklas studied musical theater and vocal pedagogy at the Institut für Musik in Osnabrück. Thanks to a scholarship, he then spent a semester in New York in the Broadway Dance Center’s study program to further his training in tap, theatre dance, and choreography, while also receiving vocal coaching several times a week from Tyley Ross (NYU Tisch School of the Arts).

During his studies, he appeared in productions such as »Do it for Love«, a musical by Chris Thompson, »Die Kleinbürgerhochzeit« as the father of the bride, or »The Mystery of Edwin Drood« as Horace. In addition to his musical theater studies, Niklas worked as a second assistant director and set runner for TV productions such as »WAPO Berlin« and »Para – Wir sind King« after completing an internship in production management and directing. He has also appeared on camera as an actor or dancer in »Tatort Köln«, »SOKO Wismar«, »WAPO Berlin«, LIDL, and Ferrero Rocher. In October 2022, Niklas played the male lead role, Robbie, in the first German production of »SOHO CINDERS«.

After returning from the USA in 2023, Niklas received engagements at the Semperoper Dresden in the musical »Blues Brothers«, at the Hessian State Theatre Wiesbaden as young Buddy in »Follies«, at the Freilichtspiele Tecklenburg as Melman in »Madagascar« and in the ensemble of »Mamma Mia« and »The Three Musketeers«, as well as at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt as Pablo/Piet in »Sister Act«.
