Dr. Elnaz Pegah

Elnaz Pegah completed her PhD at the Musicology Department of Heidelberg University with the dissertation »A Study on the Reception of Persian Poetry in European Art Music«, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dorothea Redepenning and Prof. Dr. Christoph Flamm. Her research was funded by the Geschwister-Supp Foundation and the graduate scholarship program of Baden-Württemberg.
She previously earned a Master’s degree in Musicology at Heidelberg University. Her musical training began with a Bachelor’s degree in Violin at the University of Art in Tehran, where she received a classical education and performed as a violinist with various orchestras, including the Tehran Philharmonic Orchestra.
