After completing her acting training, Jasaman Roushanaei worked as an actress at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden from 2008 to 2014. Here she appeared in numerous productions, including »Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat«, »Die Kuh Rosmarie«, »Ein Sommernachtstraum«, »1001 Nacht« and the German-language premiere of »Funkenflug«. During this time, she also made guest appearances at the Kammerspiele Wiesbaden, where she performed her solo performance »Mondscheintarif« alongside »Pas de deux« and »Achterbahn«. At the beginning of the season 2014/2015, she joined Theater Trier as an assistant director and actress, where she appeared in »Orestie« and as Urmel in the Christmas tale of the same name and performed her solo performance »Mondscheintarif« to great acclaim. In 2015, she joined Stadttheater Pforzheim as a permanent member of the ensemble and also continued her work as an assistant director in both drama and musical theatre.
In 2015, she was also a guest at the Münster Theatre, where she appeared in various roles in the play »Als mein Vater ein Busch wurde und ich meinen Namen verlor«.
In 2017, she took on a guest assistant role for the interdisciplinary play »Meisterklasse« directed by Martin Schulze at Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe.
From 2017 to 2020, Jasaman Roushanaei worked as an assistant director at the Junges Theater Heidelberg. Here she also appeared in various roles, including as the donkey in the Christmas fairy tale »Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten« (Director: Natascha Kalmbach), »Ronja Räubertochter« and »Heidi«. In 2019, she also directed »Die Wanze« at Junges Theater Heidelberg and took over the dramaturgy for »Die chinesische Nachtigall« as part of the Schlossfestspiele im Englischen Bau. After several years of maternity leave, she will now take over the organization at Junges Theater Heidelberg from the season 2024/2025.
