Kinga Timár

The Hungarian singer Kinga Timár was born in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania, and studied at the Nagy-István Music School there, as well as at the University of Oradea and the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca.
She attended master classes with Virginia Zeani, Jennifer Larmore, and Eva Marton, and was a member of the Transylvanian State Philharmonic Choir, Romania.
Guest engagements have taken her to the Hungarian State Opera Budapest, the Kammeroper Weissenhorn and the Stadttheater Ulm. Since 2024 she has been a member of the opera chorus of Theater und Orchester Heidelberg and has given numerous concerts as a soloist with opera, oratorio, and lieder in Germany and abroad. Her repertoire includes roles such as Micaëla (»Carmen«), Donna Elvira (»Don Giovanni«), Liù (»Turandot«), and Amelia (»Un ballo in maschera«).
