Anke Scheller studied sociology, psychology and folklore/cultural history at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. From 2007 to 2014, she worked as a project manager for the literary association Lese-Zeichen e.V., during which time she organized and programmed the Thuringian Literature and Authors' Days at Ranis Castle. From 2014 to 2019, she worked as Head of Communications, Marketing and Outreach for the Kunstfest Weimar under the artistic direction of Christian Holtzhauer. Under his directorship, the festival underwent a complete realignment and affiliation with the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar. In her role, Anke Scheller was largely responsible for the development of a new corporate identity, as well as for the marketing and communication of the reorientation. After the change in artistic direction, she worked with Rolf Hemke for another year before moving to the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg as Head of Press and Public Relations for the 2019/20 season. In 2019, Anke Scheller completed an extra-occupational training course in theater and music management at the LMU Munich.
