Born in Apulia, Marzia Marzo studied piano with Corrado de Bernart and singing with Amelia Felle at the »Tito Schipa« conservatory in Lecce. Marzia made her stage debut in 2012 as Susanna in Mozart's »Le Nozze di Figaro«. She then interpreted Idrusa in the contemporary opera »800. L'assedio di Ortanto« by Francesco Libetta, followed by Charpentier's »Te deum«.
Marzia Marzo is a finalist and prizewinner of various singing competitions, such as the Josep Mirabent I Magrans in Barcelona and the AsLiCo in Como.
From the 2014/15 season to July 2016, Marzia Marzo was a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, where she sang Isolier (Rossini's »Le Comte Ory«), Zaida »Il turco in Italia«, »Hänsel und Gretel«, Nancy in Britten's »Albert Herring« and Die Vertraute (Richard Strauss' »Elektra«). After the opera studio, she made her debut as Baronessa Aspasia in a production of »La Pietra del Paragone« at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari in 2016.
From 2017 to 2023, she was a member of the ensemble at the Mainfrankentheater in Würzburg, where she was able to expand her repertoire with many interesting roles: As Dorabella (»Cosi fan tutte«), she wowed both the audience and the press. She made her debut as Rosina in Rossini's »Il barbiere di Siviglia« and sang the Second Secretary in »Nixon in China«. This was followed by her debuts as Hélène in »Die schöne Helena« and as the Composer in »Ariadne auf Naxos«. She also sang Hänsel, Romeo (Bellini) and La Ciesa in Puccini's »Gianni Schicchi«. She bid farewell to Würzburg with Muse / Niklausse in »Les Contes d'Hoffmann«.
During this time, she also made her debut at the Gran Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona as Maddalena in Rossini's »Il viaggio a Reims« and returned to the Bavarian State Opera for the mezzo-soprano role in »Vanitas«.
