Marcelo Nisinman was born in Buenos Aires in 1970 and is an internationally acclaimed composer and soloist on the bandoneon. He studied bandoneon in Buenos Aires with Julio Pane as well as counterpoint and harmony with Guillermo Graetzer. He completed his composition studies with Detlev Müller-Siemens in Basel, where he currently lives. Marcelo Nisinman has performed as a soloist with Gidon Kremer, Gary Burton, Fernando Suárez Paz, the Assad Brothers, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra, among others. He is a regular guest and often composer in residence at various festivals from Finland to Bucharest, France and Argentina. Marcelo Nisinman has composed a number of orchestral works, including »Dark Blue Tango« for bandoneon and orchestra, which was premiered in 2012/13 in the small chamber version by the Orchestra Musiques des Lumieres, and subsequently in the full orchestral version by the Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional Argentina. Marcelo Nisinman has released various CD recordings with different instrumentations, including »Desvíos« (2020), »Al principio« (2020), »TangoArt« (2020), »4 AM Tango« (2019), »Franz« (2019) and »Hombre Tango« (2018). Nisinman released a new version of Astor Piazzolla's tango operita »María de Buenos Aires« on CD in 2010. Marcelo Nisinman works constantly as a composer and performer in various musical projects with renowned musicians.
