Ramsès Bawibadi Alfa

Actor, director, author and theatre director, born in 1968 in Sotouboua, Togo.
After studying history at the University of Lomé, he trained in theatre through various workshops with Felix Rellstab, François Matarasso, Avishai Milstein, Patrick Lemauff, Georges Banu, Serena Sartori, Lukas Hemleb, Sotigui Kouyate, among others. His acting career has essentially spanned two continents.
Between 2001 and 2005, he was a regular at the »Rencontres théâtrales en Haute-Corse« festival where he worked with big names in French theatre such as Robin Renucci, Pierre Vial, Charles Charras, Jean-Claude Penchenat, Alain Batis and many others. These encounters enabled him to deepen his acting training and to take part in several theatre plays that were shown in Corsica and Paris.
In 2006, he appeared on the stage of the »Théâtre du vieux Colombier« at the Comédie Française Paris.
The following year, he was awarded a scholarship at the Berliner Festspiele.
From 2009 to 2020, he worked at Theater Konstanz, but also at many other theatres in Germany and Europe, including Konzerttheater Bern, Theater 89 Berlin, Théâtre National du Luxembourg, TAK Theater Lichtenstein, Münchener Kammerspiele, Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater Schwerin and Schauspielehaus Graz.
