Anna Wohlgemuth

Anna Wohlgemuth is a stage designer/scenographer and doctoral candidate in artistic research with a focus on visual storytelling and worlding history in popular media, theatre, film and installations. In theatre and performance she works in collaborations, most recently with Teresa Vittucci (»Sane Satan«, »Doom«, »WE BODIES«, Kampnagel Hamburg, Tanzhaus Zürich, with international guest performances), FX Mayr, Korbinian Schmidt and Martina Berther (‘Gletscher Requiem’, ‘Das Gewitter’, Theater Neumarkt Zurich, »Als die Götter Menschen waren«, »Der Revisor«, Nationaltheater Mannheim, »Leichter Gesang«, Deutsches Theater Berlin), Piet Baumgartner (»EWS – der einzige Politthriller der Schweiz«, Theater Neumarkt Zürich).
Her stage space for »Portrait einer geraden Linie« was shown in a solo exhibition at the Kunstverein Friedrichshafen in 2018. She is the winner of the Zurich University of the Arts Theatre Prize and the Roman Clemens Prize for Scenography. Since 2020, she has supplemented her artistic activities in 3rd Cycle Research at the Institute for the Performing Arts and Film (ZHdK) and teaches in the Bachelor Scenic Space (ZHdK).
