Jihoon Park

Korean tenor Jihoon Park, winner of the 1st prize at the 2024 Eva Marton Singing Competition in Budapest, has already sung several major roles at the Korean National Opera.
Other awards include 1st prize at the Korean Classical Singers Association International Competition 2022, 1st prize at the Daegu International Music Competition, the Grand Prize at the JW International Competition, as well as 2nd prize at the Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Opera Competition 2023, the most influential competition in Asia.
Jihoon Park’s repertoire includes roles such as Tito (»La clemenza di Tito«), Duca (»Rigoletto«), and Rodolfo (»La Bohème«), to name just a few.
Furthermore, Jihoon Park has toured as a soloist with South Korea’s leading orchestras, performing in Handel’s »Messiah«, Mozart’s »Requiem«, and Rossini’s »Petite messe solennelle«.
He is a graduate of the Korean National University of Arts.
In the 2024/25 season, Jihoon Park will make his German debut as Don José in »Carmen« at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg.
