Sondi

Sondi (she/her) is a new media artist from Germany, born in Cameroon and based in the Netherlands. Her artistic process is centred on the concept of worldbuilding and the creation of virtual environments where memory, origin and imagination come into being. In these virtual dreamscapes, she explores new ways of being by using the power of radical imagination and science fiction as tools of liberation. Her work covers a diverse range of media, including audiovisual performance, theatre, music, film and education, and has been exhibited in international museums, galleries and media art festivals, including the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (NL), Dutch Design Week (NL), Nieuwe Instituut Rotterdam (NL), Museum Arnhem (NL), Schauspielhaus Zürich (CH) and ACUD Galerie Berlin (DE). In 2024/25, Sondi is creating the video for »Death of a Salesman« together with Carlo Siegfried at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg.
