Bohdan Lysenko was born in Yahotyn, Ukraine. He began his career as a theatre composer while studying acting at the National University of Culture and Arts in Kyiv. In addition to his work in theatre, he composed music for the TV series »With My Own Eyes« and various student short film projects. He also worked for two years as a sound engineer at the Kyiv Academic Theatre Golden Gate. He regularly collaborates with directors such as Stas Zhyrkov, Anda Kavaliauskaite, Tetiana Hubrii and Dmytro Leonchyk. At Theater und Orchester Heidelberg, Bohdan Lysenko is developing the music for »König Lear – Der letzte Gang« in 2024/25, directed by Stas Zhyrkov.
