Nele Christoph

Nele Christoph (she/her) was a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater & Orchester Heidelberg during the 2025/26 season. Born in Schwerin in 1997, she completed her acting studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna in 2023. Whilst still a student, she appeared in productions at the Burgtheater in Vienna, the Schauspiel Leipzig and the Bayerische Theaterakademie. Her debut following drama school, »Fischer Fritz« by Raphaela Bardutzky, directed by David Bösch at the Landestheater Linz, was performed at the Heidelberger Stückemarkt in 2024. The production won the Nachspielpreis, and Nele Christoph was nominated for Best Young Actress by the trade journal »Theater heute«. This was followed by work in Vienna, Mannheim and Munich, including collaborations with directors such as Mira Stadler, Stefan Ebner and Jakob Altmayer. Her focus was on collaborative processes that challenged her artistically beyond the realm of acting. She also directed the play development project »Call me (,) Daddy or Save Tenderness or The Robbers – but not by Schiller, but from your heart«. In Heidelberg, Nele Christoph appeared, amongst other roles, as Eve in »The Broken Jug«, Iphigenia in »We Are Family« and in »Frankenstein« at the Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele.
