Loriana Casagrande

Loriana Casagrande, born and raised in Luxembourg, completed her studies in stage and costume design at the Mozarteum Salzburg and the Norwegian Theatre Academy. During her studies, she assisted in stage design at the Salzburg Festival, the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg and the Vienna State Opera. Her own work in stage and costume design as well as exhibition architecture followed at the Theater Augsburg, the Schauspielhaus Chemnitz, the Theater Trier, the Norsk Teknisk Museum in Oslo and the Abtei Neumünster in Luxembourg. From 2017 to 2019, she was a permanent stage design assistant at the Schauspiel Frankfurt, where she realised several of her own stage designs. Since 2019, she has been working as a freelance stage and costume designer at among others, the Schauspiel Frankfurt, the Burgtheater in Vienna, the Théâtre National du Luxembourg, the Staatstheater Braunschweig, the Escher Theater Luxembourg and the Münchner Kammerspiele. With the independent theatre collective »Kollektiv Widerhall«, she realised several productions between 2019 and 2021with a strong documentary reference to the city of Frankfurt am Main. She collaborates regularly with set designer Paul Zoller and directors Regina Wenig, Anne Simon, Jule Kracht, Friederike Blum and Angel Krastev.
