Margrit Flagner, born in Romania, studied scenography at the University of Design and Media in Hanover. Since 2015, she has been working as a freelance stage and costume designer for opera, dance and theatre.
For the Dance Company Osnabrück and its choreographer Mauro de Candia, she designed the sets and costumes for »Romeo and Juliet«, »Paradies Fluten«, »Beethoven's Ninth« at the Osnabrück Theatre and »The Nutcracker« at the Augsburg Theatre.
In children's and youth theatre, she has designed Anna Werner's productions of »The Canterville Ghost« and »Robin Hood« at the Osnabrück Theatre, »Ronia the Robber's Daughter«, »Beauty and the Beast« at the Lübeck Theatre and »The Snow Queen« at the Kaiserslautern Theatre, among others.
Her most recent stage and costume designs for plays were in Christian Schlüter's productions of
»Der Weg zurück« (The Way Back), »Shakespeare in Love«, »Kunst« (Art) and »Sonne Luft Asche« (Sun Air Ash) by Elfriede Jelinek.
In musical theatre, she designed the sets for the operas »Didone abbandonata« at Winter in Schwetzingen, »Wir gratulieren/Der Ring des Polykrates« at Theater Heidelberg and »Lohengrin« at Theater Osnabrück, all directed by Yona Kim.
