Zlata Khershberg-Reith

Since the 2020/21 season, the young dramatic mezzo-soprano Zlata Khershberg-Reith from Russia has been an ensemble member at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg.

In 2018 she made her debut as Dorabella (»Cosi fan tutte«) at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. In Israel, she sang Bernstein's Symphony No. 1 »Jeremiah« with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, as well as Sesto (»La clemenza di Tito«) and the Third Lady (»The Magic Flute«) at the Meitar Opera Studio in Tel Aviv.
With the theatre collective The Vienna-Tel Aviv Vocal Connection and the Israel Chamber Orchestra she interpreted the role of Clairon in the music theatre production »Impresario«.
At the New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv she performed the role of Bronka in »The Passenger« by Mieczysław Weinberg and also sang Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th Symphony in Haifa.
At the Heidenheim Festival in 2019, she appeared on stage as the Countess (»Pique Dame«) and Marcellina (»Le nozze di Figaro«), among others.
As a graduate of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Zlata Khershberg-Reith had the opportunity to perform in a gala under Zubin Mehta as an outstanding student.
Zlata Khershberg-Reith is a laureate of the 2017 »Neue Stimmen« Singing Competition, a member of the International Mozarteum Summer Academy at the 2017 Salzburg Festival, a winner of the Special Jury Prize in the 2019 Concorso Lirico Internazionale di Portofino, and has continued to be a finalist in prestigious international competitions such as Stanislaw Moniuszko Vocal and the Paris Opera Competition.
