Katharina Schmidt

Katharina Schmidt, born in Augsburg, has been a freelance director for drama and musical theatre since 2011. She particularly enjoys working across genres. She has directed at the Staatstheater Braunschweig, the Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken, the Staatstheater Darmstadt, the Landestheater Linz, the Theater Osnabrück, the Rheinisches Landestheater Neuss, the Schauspielhaus Graz, the Theater Dortmund, the Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam and the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, among others. In 2025/26, Katharina Schmidt will direct Kleist's »Der zerbrochne Krug« at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg in collaboration with Roman Konieczny.
