Pär Hagström

Pär Hagström was born in Huskvarna, Sweden, and lives in Gothenburg, where he runs his own recording studio. He initially released two albums with his first band, Pär Hagström & Cirkus Transmopol. Together with his partner Jenny Roos, he founded the band Next Stop: Horizon in 2009. They released three full length albums until 2017 when they stopped touring. Hagström has also been composing stage music since 2013. Under the direction of Christoph Diem, he composed Andersen's »The Steadfast Tin Soldier« and »Don’t Look Now« at the Saarländisches Staatstheater, as well as »City Lights« (2021) and »Nosferatu« (2025). Under the direction of Katharina Schmidt and Roman Konieczny, Hagström composed the music for »Murder on the Orient Express« (2022) and »Leonce and Lena« (2024) at the Theater  Osnabrück. Pär Hagström is developing the music for the production of »Der zerbrochne Krug« by Katharina Schmidt and Roman Konieczny at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg in 2025/26. Hagström ist also a frequently hired composer fort v and film. He tours with his new live project Pär Hagström & Charlatans of Love.
