Kathrin Hauer worked with Reinhard von der Thannen for many years and studied costume design at the Universität der Künste Berlin. She has worked as a stage and costume designer and videographer for various opera, drama and ballet productions, including for the theatres in Erlangen, Aachen, Regensburg, Giessen, Kaiserslautern, Braunschweig, Essen, as well as for the Landestheater Linz and the Vorarlberger Landestheater Bregenz and open air for the Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall, the Kammeroper Rheinsberg and the Puppentheater Magdeburg. In addition to independent artistic projects, Kathrin Hauer also works as a scenographer and costume designer for film and television.
In many years of collaboration with Pascal Wieandt, the productions »Bestätigung«, »100 Meter und Aufruf an alle! 100 Jahre Sophie Scholl«, »Ich will die Menschen ausroden von der Erde« (DSE) and »Flächenbrand«.
