Björn SC Deigner works as a playwright, radio playwright, and composer for radio plays and theater. Deigner's theater texts have been and continue to be performed at various German theaters, including the Residenztheater in Munich, the Deutsches Theater Berlin, Schauspiel Stuttgart, the Staatstheater Saarbrücken, the Staatstheater Braunschweig, Schauspiel Bonn, and the ETA Hoffmann Theater Bamberg. His music can be heard at the Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Deutsches Theater Berlin, Schauspiel Köln, and the Burgtheater Wien, among others.
As a radio playwright, Deigner was awarded the » Hörspiel des Monats« prize by the Deutschen Akademie der Darstellenden Künste for the radio play versions of »In Stanniolpapier« and »Die Polizey. « The radio play production »Die Jahre« by Annie Ernaux, for which Deigner composed the music, was awarded the German Audiobook Prize 2020.
For his work as a playwright, Deigner was invited to the Autorentheatertage at the Deutsches Theater Berlin in 2018 and to the Heidelberger Stückemarkt in 2019. The productions of his theater texts »Der Reichskanzler von Atlantis« and »Die Polizey« were also invited to the Heidelberger Stückemarkt in 2020 and 2021. The production »Die Gewehre der Frau Carrar / Würgendes Blei« by Luise Voigt, for which Deigner continues Brecht's Carrar text in the second part, has been invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2025.
