Christina Rubruck

Christina Rubruck completed her acting training at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main. She was engaged at Schillertheater Berlin, Staatstheater Stuttgart and Staatstheater Darmstadt, where she has already performed several times under the direction of Holger Schultze. She subsequently appeared at the Nationaltheater Mannheim as Elisabeth in »Maria Stuart« (directed by Bruno Klimek) and as Dorine in »Tartuffe« (directed by Jens-Daniel Herzog), among others. She played the role of Emilia in Stefan Pucher's production of »Othello at Schauspielhaus Hamburg, with which Pucher was named Director of the Year by the magazine Theater heute in 2005. More recently she appeared as Gertrud in »Hamlet« and as Arkadina in »The Seagull« at Staatstheater Kassel. Since the beginning of the 2011/12 season, Christina Rubruck has been a permanent ensemble member at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg, where she has played roles such as Clytaimestra in »Die Orestie« or Mother Ubu in Victor Bodo's production of »King Ubu«, nominated for the German Theatre Prize DER FAUST.
