Florian Huber studied theatre and media studies as well as philosophy in Erlangen. During this time he performed in many plays at a Weißenburg (Bavaria) cabaret stage as an actor and musician. With several guest performances with Barish Karademir and a production of »Waiting for Godot« he found his first approach to directing. During his studies, he focused on intercultural theatre (B.A.) and virtual reality theatre (M.A.).

After graduating, he spent a year doing further directing internships and assisting in opera. He was involved in three parts of the »Ring des Nibelungen« (directed by Susanne Hartmannshenn, Chemnitz, among others), the chamber opera »Weiße Rose« (directed by Nils Braun, Chemnitz), in »La Bohème« (directed by Bernd Mottl, Munich) and in »Der Lebkuchenmann« (directed by Georg Schmiedleitner, Weißenburg Bay.).

Since September 2019, Florian Huber has been assisting directors such as Lilli Höpner, Alexander Charim and Milan Peschel at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg. He is involved in the production of the programme »One Hit Wonder« and is the director of »La Linea« (DEA).
