Ji Hyung Nam
Ji Hyung Nam, born in 1989, is a stage, costume and set designer. After studying interior design in Seoul, South Korea, she completed a degree in stage and costume design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich as a master student under Prof. Katrin Brack. In 2017, she received the Best Production Design Award at the Melbourne Webfest for her set design in the German comedy series »Technically Single«. In 2018, she received the START-UP Young Artist Award from the European Patent Office for her project »Eva, Adam und Birne«. Her work has been shown at the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Schauspielhaus Zurich, the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Akademietheater in Vienna, the Schauspiel Köln, the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, the Staatstheater Nürnberg, the Lange Nacht der Neuen Dramatik in Munich, the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden and the OUTNOW! Festival at the Theater Bremen, among others. In 2024/25, she was artist-in-residence in Hamburg-Dulsberg. At Theater & Orchester Heidelberg, Ji Hyung Nam designed the stage and costumes for the world premiere of »Asia Weeks« by Yannic Han Biao Federer in 2025/26.
