Patricia Schäfer

Patricia Schäfer grew up in NRW and studied at the Otto Falckenberg Schule in Munich. During her training, she already performed at the Residenztheater and the Münchner Kammerspiele. This was followed by engagements at the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen, Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Theater Koblenz, Störtebeker Festspiele on Rügen, among others. In 2018, the Landgraf tour production »Death of a Salesman« (directed by Harald Demmer), in which she played the role of Linda Loman, was awarded the 1st Inthega Prize. This was followed in 2020/21 by the touring production of »Gott« by Ferdinand v. Schirach, directed by Miraz Bezar. In the 2021/22 season she performed in the world premiere of Franzobel's »Anna Viehmann« at Theater Hof. She also realises her own theatre projects, such as a free stage adaptation of the cinema classic »Thelma & Louise«. She is known to a wider audience through her TV work on various series, including being in the main cast of »Verbotene Liebe« and playing the lead role in the ARD series »Rote Rosen« for one season. She has been a reading ambassador for Stiftung Lesen since 2017 and read her first two audiobooks, »Geisternächte« (Ghost Nights), together with the author André Mumot and »Oder sind es Sterne« (Or Are There Stars) by Eva Munz in 2021. From the 2022/23 season, Patricia Schäfer will be part of the ensemble of the Junges Theater Heidelberg.
