Janina Haring studied theatre, film and media studies at the Universität Wien and theatre and orchestra management at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main. While studying, she worked as an assistant at the Volkstheater Wien and the Wiener Festwochen, among others. She was assistant director at the Junges Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where she directed three productions. In 2024, she founded the feminist theatre collective »analyse schmitt kollektiv«. In the 2025/26 season, she is assistant to the artistic director at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg.
