Florian Mania was born in Darmstadt in 1984. After completing his undergraduate studies in theatre and film studies at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, he trained as an actor at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts until 2012. Even whilst still a student, he performed at venues including Schauspiel Frankfurt and the Heidelberg Castle Festival. He has also been active in radio and film since then; for example, he appeared in the feature films »Männerhort«, »Petting statt Pershing« and »Lucy ist jetzt Gangster«, as well as the ZDF series »SOKO Stuttgart« and »Der Staatsanwalt«.
From 2011 to 2016, he was a member of the acting ensemble at the Heidelberg Theater und Orchester Heidelberg. Since 2016, he has been living and working as a freelance actor in Frankfurt am Main. Most recently, he has performed at the Theater Bremen, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Staatstheater Augsburg, Stadttheater Ingolstadt, Kunstfest Weimar, Theater Koblenz, Brechtfestival Augsburg, Theater für Niedersachsen in Hildesheim and the Stadttheater Gießen. He has worked with, amongst others, Andreas Kriegenburg, Kay Voges, Marcus Lobbes, Christina Tscharyiski, Felix Krakau, Laura Linnenbaum, Brit Bartkowiak, Christian Brey, Carolin Millner, Marie Schwesinger and Viktor Bodó. Florian Mania is part of the artists’ collective »Eleganz aus Reflex«.
