Pawel Brozek

Tenor Pawel Brozek was born in Poland and studied voice at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków and at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover with Marek Rzepka. He was a member of the Young Artists Programme of the Polish National Opera in Warsaw (Teatr Wielki) and has received awards at national and international competitions.

His repertoire includes the title roles in »Serse« and »Orphée aux enfers«, as well as Nemorino (»L’elisir d’amore«), Neréo (»Mefistofele«), and Don Basilio (»Le nozze di Figaro«).
He made his debut in 2015 as Wagner in »Mefistofele« in Kraków, followed by Lenski in »Eugen Onegin« (Poznań) and Tamino in »Die Zauberflöte«. From 2015 to 2017 he was a member of the Junge Oper Hannover, and from 2017 to 2025 an ensemble member of the Staatsoper Hannover.
There, he appeared among others as Tamino (»Die Zauberflöte«), Pietro (»Die Gezeichneten«), Wenzel (»Die verkaufte Braut«), James Gadshill (»Der Vampyr«), Roderigo (»Otello«), and Borsa (»Rigoletto«).
In the 2024/2025 season, he debuted as Beppe (»Pagliacci«), Michelis (»The Greek Passion«), and as Haushofmeister and Innkeeper in »Der Rosenkavalier«. Since 2025/2026, he has been working as a freelance artist, including appearances as Flavio in »Norma« at Oper Leipzig.

He has attended masterclasses with Jerzy Artysz, Anita Garanca, Ryszard Karczykowski, Izabela Kłosińska, Wladimir Kuzmienko, and Rudolf Piernay, and has worked with directors such as Dirk Schmeding, Barbora Horáková, Lydia Steier, Ingo Kerkhof, Eva-Maria Höckmayr, Elisabeth Stöppler, and Vasily Barkhatov, as well as conductors including Ivan Repušić, Alessandro De Marchi, Benjamin Reiners, Stephan Zilias, Giulio Cilona, and Michele Spotti.
