Felix Krakau

Felix Krakau, born in Hamburg in 1990, studied art theory at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, theater directing at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main, and, as a visiting student, playwriting at Universität der Künste Berlin. He worked as an assistant and intern at Schauspiel Frankfurt, the Schaubühne Berlin, the Salzburg Festival, and, from 2016 to 2018, at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, where he has since staged numerous productions. Other productions and texts include work at the Volkstheater Wien, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Theater Bremen, Schauspiel Leipzig, Schauspielhaus Wien, Schauspiel Essen, and Theater Bonn. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Körber Studio Young Directors’ Prize, third place in the Else Lasker-Schüler Playwriting Prize, and the Hessian Literature Fellowship in Prague. He is represented by Rowohlt Theater Verlag and lives in Düsseldorf.
