Christl Wein

Christl Wein is an internationally active freelance artist working in theatre, opera, photography, TV and film productions, and has won several design awards. She has created costume and set designs for venues including the Deutsches Theater Berlin, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Volkstheater München, Theater Basel, Residenztheater München, Gärtnerplatztheater München, Theater Bonn, Schauspiel Stuttgart, Schauspiel Düsseldorf, Majestic Theatre Shanghai (China) and Den Jyske Opera in Aarhus (Denmark).

She has provided styling and set design for national and international TV channels, photography and advertising productions, such as Arte, Channel 9 in Australia, ERTU in Egypt and Showtime Beyond in the USA.

In 2007, she received the award for »Beste Ausstattung« at the Bayerischen Theatertagen.

She has been working for many years as a lecturer at various universities and training institutions, including the August Everding Theatre Academy in Munich, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, ESMOD Munich, the Deutsche Meisterschule für Mode and the U5 Medienakademie.
