Davide Sioni
Davide Sioni will be a dancer with Tanz Heidelberg from the 2026/27 season. He was born in Italy in 1997 and trained at the Vienna Ballet School under Simona Noja and at the Tanz Akademie Zürich under the direction of Steffi Scherzer and Oliver Matz. Davide Sioni has been a member of the Staatsballett Hannover since the 2016/17 season, where he initially danced under the direction of Jörg Mannes in, amongst others, his choreographies »Schubert« and »The Nutcracker«, as well as in works by Mauro Bigonzetti, David Blàzquez, Georg Reischl, Yaron Shamir and Nils Christie. From 2019 to 2025, he also danced with the Staatsballett Hannover under the artistic direction of Marco Goecke and Christian Blossfeld. During these years, Davide Sioni danced in ballets by various renowned choreographers – including in solo roles – by Alexander Ekman, Hofesh Shechter, Edward Clug, Sharon Eyal, Aszure Barton, Medhi Walerski, Goyo Montero, Johan Inger, Jiří Kylián, Paul Lightfoot & Sol León and Juliano Nunes, thereby gaining extensive experience in a wide range of contemporary styles. In addition, he took part in productions by Jeroen Verbruggen (»Hokus & Pokus«) and Andonis Foniadakis (»Ikarus«) and danced in the ballets »Thin Skin«, »Kiss a Crow«, »Wir sagen uns Dunkles«, »Hello Earth«, »Walk the Demon«, »Feuervogel« (pas de deux), »The Big Crying« by Marco Goecke, as well as the role of the younger brother in his »Der Liebhaber« and the Happy Prince in »A Wilde Story«.
Davide Sioni is also a certified yoga teacher who focuses on the connection between body and mind.
