Inês Fernando
Inês Fernando is a dancer and will begin her first permanent position in Heidelberg with the 2026/27 season. Born in 2004, the Portuguese dancer began her training at the Escola de Dança do Conservatório Nacional in Lisbon, continued it at Area Jeune Ballet in Geneva, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag in 2025. She attended advanced workshops and masterclasses at institutions including the Nederlands Dans Theater and Share The Dance Intensive.
Inês Fernando gained her first professional experience during an internship with the Dutch company Introdans, where she danced in choreographies by Inbal Pinto, Jeroen Verbruggen, Robert Battle, and Krisztina de Châtel. During the 2025/26 season, Inês Fernando was an intern at the Ballett Theater Magdeburg, where she danced in the choreographies »Drifting Out« by Iratxe Ansa & Igor Bartovic, »Bolero« by Yaron Shamir, Jörg Mannes’ choreographies »A Midsummer Night’s Dream« and »Vincent«.
