MingXuan-Vincent Gao
MingXuan-Vincent Gao is a dancer* with Tanz Heidelberg. Born in a small town in Inner Mongolia, MingXuan-Vincent began dance training at the age of eleven. After six years, he was accepted into the ballet department of the Beijing Dance Academy. He subsequently secured a role in the first edition of Take off Dance, Johan Inger’s youth project in Seville, Spain. There, she danced in, amongst others, Johan Inger’s choreographies »impasse« and »I knew then«.
From the 2023/24 season onwards, MingXuan-Vincent Gao became a member of the dance ensemble at the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck, where she has performed in ballets including »Stabat Mater«, »Les Noces« by Edward Clug, »The Room« by Caroline Finn, »Celestial Fractures« by Julian Nicosia, Francesca Frassinelli’s »Unfamiliar Connections« and »Lotus Eaters« by Douglas Lee. In Innsbruck, MingXuan-Vincent Gao also created her first small-scale choreography, entitled »Waldeinsamkeit«.
