Yael Fischer

Yael Fischer is a dancer with the newly formed Compagnie Tanz Heidelberg. She studied in her home city of Berlin at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch and the Staatliche Ballett Schule.

Following her training, she danced with the Landesjugendballett Berlin, was an apprentice with the Ballett Chemnitz (2018/19) – where she had already danced in Aleksander Ekman’s piece »Episode 31« – and was selected in 2021 to take part in the Biennale di Danza di Venezia under the artistic direction of Wayne McGregor. There she danced in his choreography »FAR« as well as in Crystal Pite’s »Solo Echo«.

Following an engagement with the Ballett des Theaters Plauen/Zwickau, she was engaged by the choreographer and ballet director Stijn Celis at the Saarländische Staatsballett for the 2023/24 season. There she danced in Ohad Naharin’s »George & Zalman«, Johan Inger’s »Impasse«, »Polish Pieces« by Hans van Manen, and in the programme »Ikonen« by Angelin Preljocaj, Stijn Celis and Diego Tortelli. She also danced in Stijn Celis’s »Cinderella«, his new work »Falling Into« in collaboration with the artist Chiharu Shiota, the ballet »Bring No Clothes« by Caroline Finn, and the piece »Let It Burn« by Alberto Galindo, who is currently also a dancer at the Nationaltheater Mannheim. Yael Fischer was invited to numerous dance galas and dance festivals to perform a solo from Goecke’s »All Dem Long Day«.
