Ellen Brüwer

Ellen Brüwer studied art history, theatre studies and German language and literature. She initially worked as a press officer and dramaturg at the Staatstheater Stuttgart and Schauspiel Essen. From 2005, she worked at the Saarländisches Staatstheater, where she took charge of marketing, press and public relations from 2006. In 2017, she moved to the Staatstheater Braunschweig. She served as interim artistic director there during the 2025/26 season; from the 2026/27 season onwards, she will join Heidelberg as a consultant for special projects, community engagement and third-party funding.
