In »Unseen Horses«, Greek dancer and emerging choreographer Ioanna Paraskevopoulou delves deep into the lives of the DTH dancers. Their personalities, challenges, and moments of joy become tangible through video projections and live soundscapes. Inspired by Foley artists, the dancers create live sounds for their filmed scenes in real time, using a microphoned stage construction filled with various materials.

This stage becomes both a resonating body and a playground, while the piece also references the harsh reality of 1930s dance marathons and quotes the film »They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?«. With »Unseen Horses«, Paraskevopoulou uniquely merges dance, film, and sound, honouring both the art of Foley and the resilience of dancers.
