The piano takes centre stage in the concert with scholarship holders from the Jürgen Ponto Foundation. Up-and-coming talents can once again be experienced on their instruments in Schwetzingen's Rococo Theatre. This time it's Tianrun Jin, Tantan Wang and Kolja Hölscher. Together with the Heidelberg Philharmonic Orchestra, they will present challenging works from the 18th and 19th centuries. The Heidelberg Philharmonic Orchestra will kick off the programme with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's overture »Les petits riens«. This is followed by the Piano Concerto in D major No. 11 by Joseph Haydn. The stage is then set for Johann Nepomuk Hummel and his Concertino in G major op. 73, and Carl Maria von Weber concludes the programme with the Piano Concerto No. 2 in E flat major op. 32.
