Christos Papadopoulos’ works draw on an intensely observant approach to movement, often unfolding a lively yet meditative power. His focus is on the subtle shifts in perception: those perpetual, often unnoticed yet potent movements present in nature, everyday life, physical phenomena, and even political contexts. »Mellowing« marks his first collaboration with the dancers of the Dance On Ensemble. By incorporating the dancers’ knowledge and experience, they explore fleeting moments of perception and intensities that create a lively restlessness, a continuous vibration that inevitably draws the spectator in.

Founded in 2015, the Dance On Ensemble celebrates the artistic excellence of dancers over 40 and aims to build a rich, ambitious repertoire specifically for artists in this age group.
