In her dance piece »Khôra«, Belgian choreographer Astrid Boons creates a parallel universe with its own unique rules, inhabited by future human beings. Five dancers, each with a distinct and special character, come together repeatedly to confront a question as simple as it is unanswerable: How can we regain our humanity?

The ancient Greek term Khôra, which can mean place, area, land, or space, has long intrigued many thinkers and inspired Astrid Boons to embark on a philosophical dance journey in three parts, with »Khôra« as the first.
