NDT 2: Folkå / An untold story
by Marcos Morau / Nadav Zelner / Nederlands Dans Theater
Marguerre-Saal
[recommended for ages 16 and up]
The Nederlands Dans Theater, based in The Hague, was founded in 1959 and has developed into one of the leading companies in contemporary dance. With an extensive repertoire of renowned and upcoming choreographers, it travels and inspires the whole world.
In Heidelberg, we welcome NDT 2, with talented emerging dance artists, presenting two special pieces: Spanish choreographer Marcos Morau created »Folkå« (2021) in close collaboration with the dancers. They form an impressive community, depict their customs and traditions, and conjure up a collective force that takes us on a trance-like journey. In his latest piece, »An untold story«, Israeli choreographer Nadav Zelner celebrates life and its challenges, and will transport the audience into a world of dynamic dance wonder.
