In Cherish Menzo's current research, monstrosity becomes a way to reshape and strategize dominant and accepted narratives. Together with the workshop participants, she will explore the use of body, voice, and sound to develop a common lexical that references familiar and well-known stories. By applying distortion, decay, and dissonance, she aims to challenge these existing matters. »By glitching, scratching, and remixing this common lexical, we seek the Uncanny, the Enigmatic, and the Monstrous.« The workshop will be held in English.
